Re: First away game
That 1965 Final must have been special.

I remember bumping into a group of TSV supporters outside Highfield Road in the nineties, and it turned out groups of them were still making the trip to see us.

Re: First away game
Arsenal away, early 90s, can't remember the year as we (me, my Dad, and my Grandad) actually went to quite a few away games against Arsenal around that period as someone at my Grandad's work had some kind of membership/ sponsorship there and could get tickets for free. In the Arsenal (Clock) end unfortunately, and they've all kind of melded into one in my memory. I am pretty sure Morley scored or at least played in my first one, but in my head it gets mixed up with Dicks being sent off and Wright missing a penalty for them which may even have been 2 other separate games. I vividly remember my Grandad nearly getting us into a fight straight after the latter incident one time when we were trying to be inconspicuous and he promptly leapt up and shouted to everyone around him that ha ha, what a useless bastard and you all think he should play for England you fucking idiots.

Re: First away game
My first away game was actually my first game. My older brother took me to Chelsea away in about 1970. My main memory is him hoisting me up so I could see a load of West Ham steaming into the Shed.

Re: First away game
I had a rather special intro to away games:
Wembley May 1965 Euro Cup Winners Cup Final 2-0 TSV Munich-I was 10 and completely hooked-I think Ted was there.
First proper away game Nov 1966 4-3 win at Spurs-because of the crush I was sat on a bench by the touchline with other kids

Re: First away game
My first was the FA cup semi final against Everton with my dad.
Fuck knows how that slipped my mind.
I was 13.
I remember about 15,forth/fith formers bunking off school to go to the replay Elland Road.
There was about ten of us crowded round listening on the wireless round my mates house.
After that the rest is history.

Wimbledon away at Plough Lane 4th March 1985 FA Cup 5th round.

15 years old and got to see agro directly for the first time as well.

Chelsea were at home that night and as our District Line train went through Fulham Broadway they tried to put our windows through. Our boys jumped out and clumped one or two of them.
